Silent Hill 2 Review

So tonight I finally beat the infamous Silent Hill 2!
To start with, this game feels kind of lacking in the beginning. If it wasn't the knowledge of how great this game is then I wouldn't have finished it through to the end.
It took me a while to understand what was going on but the game fills in all the plot holes nicely. I understood everyones reason for being at Silent Hill.
The ending on the other hand felt a little unsatisfying, it felt like it just ended. I was slightly disappointed at the ending.
However, the atmosphere of Silent Hill itself was just outstanding! I will play more of this series simply in hopes of the atmosphere being as creepy and bone chilling as it was in this game.
I'm looking forward to playing Silent Hill 3 very soon.
But all in all, this game doesn't feel like it would have any replay value. But it is a must play!
So unless you really enjoy being scared then buy it. But if you just want a one time exciting experience then I suggest you rent it.

Condemned 2 review.

Okay, since Alex is too lazy to beat the game, I'll do the review.

Ok. Let's start out with the story.
The story is after the town goes to hell due to more killings in the city, the S.C.U can only call one man... Ethan Thomas, the same guy from from the first game along the way you will meet ALOT less friends so be prepared to fight... alot. Now don't worry, this game isn't as scary as the first one, it's kinda like a gore fest now.

The game now has a whole bunch of weapons, everything from bed-posts to revolvers with scopes on them. Along the way you will get a... "power." So get ready to be scared and have fun including with the very cool online mode! Seriously this game was made correctly and was very well done and deserves a rent or a buy. So rent or buy... or else.

Clock Tower 3 Review

Let me start by saying that Clock Tower 3 (CT3) is full of excitement, thrills, and hysterical moments.
CT3 follows a 14 yr old named Alyssa who is a Rooder, which by what I've seen is like a ghost hunter/ ghost whisperer. She solves the mysteries of the undead so that the troubled souls may have peace in the after life.
The game excels at the "jump out scare" tactic. Half way through the game I was jumping out of my seat from the "Hammer Bro" and eventually I was jumping from "Acid Man". These two scared me more than anyone else. Maybe I just got used to what the game was doing to me, because I wasn't as scared later on. With the exception of "Axe Man" he scared me good at least once.
But the game is very fun, its easy to follow, which unfortunately makes it short. The only thing that got on my nerve's was the techno music that I had to listen to at several points during the game. Plus an annoying organ soundtrack that seemed to just loop around the same 10 second interval.
However, if you look past the few things I had to beef about, you will enjoy it. It's a thrill to play and it gives you plenty of history tidbits to make you fear your bosses even more.

Castle Crashers review.

Castle Crashers... what can I say about this game besides... EPIC. WIN.

Castle Crashers review.

Now the story is simple your a lone (or team) of knight('s) who we're living peacefully until' your king's magical jewel and princesses are stolen and kidnapped, now you (and your team) have to get them back safely. Along the way you will notice ALOT of things from Alien Homind, I won't spoil anything but you'll notice it. The entire way through you will also be able to level up and get new weapons. When you level up you have 4 choices to add to your character, so you can make your character a strong knight who has an over the top amount of health and power or a weak knight but who has an extreamly high amount of magical power and is very quick or..... ALL FOUR. The game also features the ability to do four player co-op all the way through which sounds awesome and it is.... and it's not. The only problems I have noticed in this game is, I have never done a co-op match considering whenever I start one with my friends, it drops one or two of them out of the party. Problem two is it is extremely difficult to find a match, and even more difficult to stay IN the match, this will probably be fixed in an update though. Problem three is this game costs ALOT... how much you may ask? 1,200 Microsoft points. If you can deal with these problems though, I highly recommend this game as it is one of my new favorites on the Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Fatal Frame IV

So who isn't excited for the new fatal frame!? I havent played any of the series yet, but im still more excited for this game simply because its going to be on the wii!
The wii needs some good games like this and I watched some footage. It looks fantastic!!
But I'm also planning on getting Silent Hill Homecoming. Since I already have all the Silent Hill games I'm just going to finish the Silent Hill games before I play Homecoming.
Then I will be playing the Fatal Frame series before I play the new one.

So I guess there's something for yall to look forward to.

Vandread

So I went and reviewed Girls Bravo, and now I'm onto another series, Vandread. So far it's pretty entertaining. I'm kinda confused 4 episodes into it. But I'll come back and fill you guys in at the end of the series with my review on Vandread.

Resident Evil 4 Speed Run!

Oh yeah! I'm gonna do it! I've got the equipment that doesn't need a lick of ammunition! So, with that ready to go I'm going to accomplish a RE4 speed run on the wii!
Just you watch, I'm gonna do it and aim to beat the time once every year! And keep going till it's just too impossible to do it any further.
Now lets just see if I can keep up with this little promise. Anywho, if you see me playing this game a lot then that's why.
I'm definitely going to do this!!
OH YEAH!! GET IN THE ZONE MAN!!! GET IN THE ZONE!!!

Santa!!

How sweet would it be to see Santa up on Soul Calibur 4!? I was in the middle of a "zone" match on good ol SC4 when I randomly thought how awesome it would be to see the jolly cookie eating fat man himself on the screen!
So send me some responses let me know what kinda weapon you think the big man should be running around with!
On top of that send me some ideas so we can get the fat pimp on there with the lil green awesomeness of yoda!

NEW MODS!

Congratulations on the four new mods for NAWK TV!
Here they are, respect them and I will also be keeping an eye on them so that they don't go over board with they power!

rencamo (For bringing NAWK to life)
hotchik91 (For totally getting me through some tough parts on SH2)
chimp911 (nawK)
crankeye (Nawk)

In case you didn't catch it, chimp and crank are both friends who are apart of the NAWK experience.

Growl! Xbox 360 cheap move!

The Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter $100 (New) $70 (Used).

Okay lets face it, there's no way I'm going to be able to enjoy the full potential of the Xbox 360 without this little bad boy. The only beef I've got to stress out, is why is the damn thing so expensive?

Any other wireless adapter for the computer is cheap as hell!

Does this thing pack an extra punch? Or did microsoft just pull a fast one and make this thing the only way to connect to the net so you have no choice? Anyways, I think it sucks how expensive it is, and they better make this thing compatible with the new xbox that comes out in the future!

Okay, I'm done beefing about it, I'm gonna buy it anyways, but still! GRRRR!!

Let me know if this aggravates you as much as it does me!

The End Year Soup

Here's the list of games I plan on beating before the year is up. Since I'm almost done with them or I started them and I really want to finish them.

The Suffering: Fun game, not exactly terrifying, but very twisted. I think I'm almost done with it.

Cold Fear: Okay, I seriously have to be close to beating this intense thriller!

Silent Hill 2: Horror games bring in the fans, and I'm loving the intensity of this game. Despite me constantly saying how much I hate the game whilst playing it.

Girls Bravo Anime Review

Girls Bravo has the makings of a Love Hina wanna be. Which is completely awesome in my eyes. I thought that the Love Hina manga was fantastic. However, the show was lacking in many areas.
But in this instance I haven't read any of the Girls Bravo books so I came in the anime not know anything about it.
So to start with there is a boy named Yukinari Sasaki and he is apparently allergic to females, due to years of them picking on him. It would appear early into the first episode that his only friend is a girl named Kirie Kojima. Kirie is an extremely aggressive girl who is quick to throw the punches than listen to others talk.
So already there is a shy boy and an aggressive girl, I have seen this once in Love Hina.
Well here's were things get interesting, there is another world called Seiren which is full of women only. Yukinari is brought to this women's planet were he meets Miharu, a pink haired girl who has no problem showing herself off to people.
Along with her sister Maharu, these two sisters of Seiren fall for Yukinari quickly, along with the other residents.
But the series progresses with a series of girls joining the group from Seiren, along with a group of earth residents.
So the ratio for this series is 3 guys to nearly 10+ girls.
But all in all I had fun watching this series, there was plenty of comical moments as well as the unneeded nudity pieces.
That was the only down side I felt in the show, there was just too many nude moments that could have easily been dulled down and still been fun. But overall, despite the awkward boob scenes, this was a fun series and the ending was entertaining enough for me to want to more.
The only reason I really truly enjoyed Girls Bravo is because it reminded me so much of Love Hina with an excessive twist in the story and over the top nude scenes.
There are only 24 episodes in the series, so check it out. You might enjoy it.

Harold & Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay

So after watching the first Harold & Kumar I knew I was going to enjoy their second film.

To start off John Cho (American Pie) and Kal Penn (Van Wilder) are comedic geniuses. They are still the greatest combination of relaxed and tense friends.

Harold Lee (Cho) and Kumar Patel (Penn) are declared as terrorists due to their ethnicity. So they are sent to Guantanamo Bay by the biggest dick head I have ever seen in a movie since Ghostbusters' Walter Peck.
Once again Harold and Kumar are sent on an adventure that brings the both of them closer together. The two end up learning life lessons and the ending is very enjoyable. Not to mention George W. Bush makes an appearance, which I found the highlight of the film. Well, alongside the "bottomless party" which Nichole Graves makes an appearance in.
Should I be ashamed that I recognized an adult entertainer in a film? Probably.

Anyways, this film was hilarious but had some laggy spots that I wouldn't mind skipping to get to the funny bits. But it's basically the same film as the first one, so despite there being new bits, it still gave me the same feeling as the original did. (Which was a feeling of pure joy).

Pineapple Express

Pineapple Express, a comedy about two stoner friends who witnessed a murder and are now on the run from the murderers while getting high the entire time.

It starts out with the strangest of intros, I was waiting for it to make sense later on in the film, but it never did.

Seth Rogen (40 Year Old Virgin) and James Franco (Spiderman) are hysterical whenever they are together. Rogen brings out his brand of humor as expected from his previous films. The only actor I was a little skeptical of was Franco. I had never seen him in a comedy role, except for his cameo in Knocked Up. But he did a great job as the mindless dealer.

This movie was funny at times but for the majority of the time I was just anxiously waiting for something funny to happen. So I really only had a couple of knee slappers. Not to mention the ending just seemed a little dragged on, they could have ended it sooner.

Resident Evil 5 Trailer

So, who isn't looking forward to the new Resident Evil? Chris is back and ready for more zombie rocking action. Enjoy the trailer:

The Dark Knight

Pure epic genius! This movie was so fantastic that I don't even know how to portray how amazing it really was! All I can say is that Heath Ledger (RIP) made the movie what it was. He made the Joker in ever sense of the character. You will fear him, respect him, and laugh with him. He's twisted and a psychotic genius.
While everyone else returns for their respected role, except for Rachel Dawes (But who cares).
The movie is amazing plenty of dramatic scenes and fights that will make you want to see more! I have seen the movie opening night and two other separate times. I'm done talking, I'm gonna get too excited to say more. So I will end with this.

See The Dark Knight!

Soul Calibur IV 360

Epic, that is simply all I could say when I saw that Yoda and Darth Vader were going to be in the new Soul Calibur.
On top of that, The Apprentice is in it as well. I have the 360 version so I have no base of comparison but I can say that Yoda is definitely a unique character. He is smaller than Vader so he is a much smaller target. He's kind of a pain to fight, says my brother.
But the only real grip I sort of have with the new Soul Calibur is the Custom Character. It looks better but its a little more difficult to understand how to unlock outfits. Plus your outfit will change how well your character performs. However, if you don't really plan on making a character that is suited for the the storylines, then you can play Standard VS Mode which will make all characters equal.
It's a lot of fun and I strongly recommend that you give this game a go and even let me know how Vader is like.
Rumor's going around that you can download the other exclusive character from the internet. As well as downloading more outfits.

Condemned 2

So I played the first one and it scared the bricks out of me. But I beat it and got used to the system so I only had a few jump moments after that.
Well now that I'm playing Condemned 2 I've noticed right off the bat that it's much harder. It's much more violent and fighting guys is much more challenging/fun. Because this time around you aren't limited to only fighting with items. Now you can bare knuckle it with your enemies.
The finish moves are excellent along with the exceptional new storyline that continues with Ethan Thomas.
Well, I'm still playing the game and I've got a ways to go. But so far its fantastically horrifying!
Be back with a full review when I beat it.

Alone in the Dark 360

It has been out for a while, but I feel that I need to express my opinion on a game that means a lot to me. As a kid I played all the classic PC Alone in the Dark games where you played the role of the super detective of the paranormal Edward Carnby. I loved the games so much and I was terrified of the very first game. I even dressed up as Carnby for Halloween.

But past experiences aside, and completely avoiding the topic of The New Nightmare (which I have never had any desire to play). I went into Alone in the Dark expecting so much, knowing that this was the Carnby from the old games.

It's really cool but fairly un original but unexpected on how Carnby managed to survive for so long and retain his youth. The fighting system is very intense and with a limited inventory it can be very difficult to manage without have to retry a level.

The way they tell the story and the music makes the game really take off. Plenty of "Dear God" moments and of course the "This Sucks" moments. A slew of puzzles, which is what made Alone in the Dark what it was back in the day.

So basically the game has its ups and downs, despite what everyone says, I love this game. Beat it and enjoyed it. Unfortunately I wasn't a big fan of the ending, but don't let that ruin the experience. It's great, and worth a good a rent just to see what I'm talking about.

NAWK Coming Soon

So it's awesome that we are creating a show about the stuff we love. Honestly 4PP really showed the true potential from playing video games. I could not get over how funny our reactions are during video games and never once thought about putting it up on a show until I saw the infamous footage of 4PP and the Condemned2 bear. So before we really get this thing launched off I would just like to let them know that if this thing takes off and we even come close to their popularity, thanks. You guys showed me the entertainment potential in gaming.
But I'm very interested in creating footage to entertain people and I plan on trying a bunch of new stuff to the NAWK show till we find a solid formula for it.
Anyways, here's hoping that the show will be excellent and see ya guys in the near future.
