Marvel VS Capcom 3

Initial Thoughts
So I finally got a hold of the long desired Marvel VS Capcom 3. I have waited for this game long since it was initially announced. I remember always plugging quarters into Marvel VS Capcom 2 at the arcade. I never played the game very often but I had a pretty unstoppable team of Wolverine, Ryu, and some other third character. But those two were always in my team, I tended to lean towards Cyclops so I could spam the shit out of the opponent with my laser beam.

Well, I was never good at this game, ever, I mean sure I could beat the shit out of my brother and his friends whenever we went to the arcades. However, once I started fighting computers, the story changed, I wasn't so good at this point. Anyways, I played MVC2 every once and a while and I was just utterly stoked to play MVC3 and now that it's out, what are my thoughts?
Meh, lacking really, I know the roster is smaller, I was aware of this prior to buying it. Simply because they aren't using sprites so they can't just pallet swap them like in the old game. This isn't a huge complaint with me, the roster is, well, alright I guess.

But my big complaint, honestly, is the lack of content. Seriously, this game feels like it was simply riding on the Marvel VS Capcom 3 title! Like, "Hey kids! Ready for the sequel to the greatest fighting game of all time!?" so of course everyone is excited! I dunno, I'm just thinking they could have done a better job of putting it together rather than just putting up characters to fight. It's really all that's going on, the storyline is bleh, but who cares about the storyline right? I do enjoy that you can pick certain characters to be voiced in japanese or english, it's a nice lil addition to any fighting game. But there is SUCH a lack of options here! You can't buy anything for the characters, you can't buy costumes, levels, or anything spiffy with the points you are acquiring, hell, I dunno what these POINTS are even doing other than just being there...

Online... dear god the most boring waste of time I have ever experienced, EVER! You wait, and wait and wait for upwards of twenty minutes for a match. Oh, and if you get disconnected or fail to find a connection, the game will "LOAD" and then toss you back to the very opening main menu to shimmy through another menu to get to the xbox live action. It's obnoxious! Oh, and when you join a lobby that allows up to 8 people to play, 6 of those people are gonna be waiting, without the option of watching the match. Just waiting, till the fight is over. It's boring!

I dunno, this game is fun, but nothing like I thought it would be, I would love to rant more but this is becoming obnoxiously long, and no, I'm not gonna proof read any of this. My match online is finally starting... whatever.
