Initial ThoughtsThis game is SCARY! I' m only on chapter 5, but this game is terrifying and extremely difficult. For me at least, maybe it's just cause I have horrible aim and can't turn a corner fast enough, but this game is hard.
Check this, you know how in the first one, you start out with no weapons and run away from the necromorphs? Well this one, you start out in a straight-jacket and have to run from them. Needless to say, I died a freakin lot at the beginning of the game.
I honestly enjoy how Isac is more narriative in this game than the last one. Last game, he was the quiet protagonist, this game he's more of a person and you feel more drawn in to the experience. I absolutely love it, the controls are the same, the mechanics are the same, it's perfect, it doesn't feel too different from the first one, but more evolved. There are a couple new features added, such as vent crawling, and spearing necromorphs with picking up spears and throwing them. Also the stomping and punching function feels way more satisfying.
The game is intense, and tons of fun. I can't wait to see the ending to this game.
